“NV-Centr” Rehabilitation Addiction Clinic was opened in 1998, in Tomsk city called Siberian Athens. Beyond Urals it was the first one specialized in relieving of psychological (psychic) dependency. During this time 2400 people received psychotherapeutic help. 1968 ofthemremainsober! What does such a great result mean?
The clinic is located in historical part of the city in a separate building that is secured round-the-clock. Information deprivation regime (informational hunger) is one of necessary conditions for successful treatment. At the same time the fact of clinic located in the city allows residents to participate in traveling volunteer teams, to communicate with recovering alcoholics and drug addicts, and to recover in environment close to natural.
Recreation rooms designed for 3-5 people allow personnel to continuously control rehabilitation process, exclude loneliness of resident, "them going into shell", provide uninterrupted group psychotherapy and round-the-clock influence of group (collective) mind on recovering people.
Continuous activity of residents excluding time for food and sleep forms stable setup for recovery and excellent psychotherapy results.
Everyday one and a half hour moderate sauna provides deep cleansing of body from toxins, narcotic and other chemical substances, full-fledge rest and enviable workability.
Based on folk healers' recommendations balanced meals provide five times-a-day restore residents’ bodily strength, and function as medical and prophylactic measure.
Clinic program is an author program* of personality and spiritual growth. Its purpose is to return person back to full-fledged life without drugs and alcohol, life with high ethical and moral qualities.
Rehabilitation is based on Minnesota model-ideology of program called "12 steps" summarizing all modern Russian and foreign spiritual experience of drug addicts and alcoholics treatment. This program has significant support of millions of recovered alcoholics and drug addicts all over the world. This ideology like a red thread goes through blocks of individual, group and family psychotherapy. Isotherapy, Dancing Therapy, Laughter Therapy, Solar Therapy, Wu-Shu Therapy, Balneotherapy, Sauna-Therapy, Phytotherapy, Homeland History and History of Arts organically supplement psychotherapy complex.
In "NV-centr" Rehabilitation Addiction Clinic different methods of work with residents' mind are synthesized. We do not "brainwash" on unconsciousness level, but try to change mindset of yesterdays drug addicts and alcoholics, so their clarified mind become able to form own unconsciousness, was not afraid of the society, got rid off false "truths" and acquired those ones based on sanity and moral.
The main principle of our activity is – DO NOT HARM! Our major goal is – unconditional recovering of everyone who came to us seeking help. That's why we continuously assess our work, correct mistakes and improve successful practice.
Do we have to say that employees called to form personality follow the way of self improvement themselves? 50% of our personnel are former addicts or co-dependents. Who else if not them knows the problem from inside and can serve example of recovering REALITY.
Our staff includes psychologists, philosophers, historians, artists, musicians, trainers and specialists of non-traditional treatment methods. But that does not mean that during sessions we talk on topics not related to reality. In contrast, during training sessions we work out living situations – the tricky ones requiring to make ethic choice. Residents of center acquire friends, their own personal social network, profession, job, education – all such things without which moral formation and recovering are not possible.
